Yellowstone is amazing. There's horseback trip you can schedule that will take you into the backcountry, really worth doing.

Idea 2. Fly to North Carolina and drive to Oak Island. You can rent a beach house really reasonably. The water is just beautiful and if you go in August, you can see the meteor showers.Maiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06829925970369556886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6371458020564881376.post-34157739088471800072012-05-16T21:56:31.924-05:002012-05-16T21:56:31.924-05:00Well, if you go to Lake Tahoe, I'll give you m...Well, if you go to Lake Tahoe, I'll give you my annoying neighbors' address and you can go bug them for your entertainment (and mine).Nuzzling Muzzleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07649710635013663900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6371458020564881376.post-36679338786083129762012-05-16T15:47:45.844-05:002012-05-16T15:47:45.844-05:00if i were there, i'd show you my beloved city ...if i were there, i'd show you my beloved city of seattle to the furthest reaches of tourist desire: ) but..i cannot recommend it without a guide. you'll just get rained on with no release (unless it's july or august!!). wait, you said august? that might just spare you the grey. but still a local guide helps so much.

i'll be there july 30-august 12 or so. but with my visiting status as well, i won't be able to help very much because of my family engagements/responsibilities. i'm so sorry - i would love to show you around. if someone else in the PNW will host you at that time, then i will strive to make the trip to meet you.lythahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01719586193059362084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6371458020564881376.post-46487666885679555222012-05-16T14:00:55.716-05:002012-05-16T14:00:55.716-05:00Lake Creek Lodge, Camp Sherman, Oregon or Vancouve...Lake Creek Lodge, Camp Sherman, Oregon or Vancouver Island, British Columbia.Wolfiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04743943656869294788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6371458020564881376.post-84334262677533093112012-05-16T09:52:08.844-05:002012-05-16T09:52:08.844-05:00I live near Santa Cruz, on California's Monter...I live near Santa Cruz, on California's Monterey Bay, and I think it is lovely here. Its also just about guaranteed to be cool (60's, 70's) in the summer.

I have loved vacationing in the Colorado Rockies as well. I would have stayed with Bill at Allanspark last summer, but they don't take kids and we have a kid. He recommended a nearby lodge that was great.
