News - your prayers, if you've got them...

I've added a new page on the top. It's called Mighty Heart. There's some news there that will be a big focus for us for the next month and, possibly, much longer

I'm trying to decide where to post updates on this to folks who will want to know what's happening since I do try to keep this "horsecentric."

Do I post them on Crib Notes or forget that I'm working a theme here?

Your thoughts on the matter are welcome, my friends.

My prayers for your daughter and you; please keep posting here on the Mighty Heart page; maybe create an update icon on your posts so we'll know when there is news?

Prayers are on the way. Post where and when you wish to - it's your call and I think people's blogs should be about whatever they feel they'd like to put on them, and I don't care if blogs are limited to just horses.

Very sorry to hear of your daughter's heart issues, but as you say it's very good that you found out about it now when there's an opportunity to do something about it.

Praying for you and your family, Sierra's doctor and that this surgery will be successful. Please keep us posted. Horses are fun but Sierra's health is infinitely more important.

Knee mail from this corner of the world for your daughter and all y'all. I love the Mighty Heart page. Shirley had a good idea for an "Update Icon" too.

Since you're a writer, I know you're always worried about catering to your audience...but I don't think you should worry too much about that. People like your blog for your voice and your sensibilities. We all know that 'real life" sometimes is on our minds way more than our ponies are.

Stay strong. Things will go well. I agree with Shirley--please do post something on your main page if you decide to keep updates under a separate heading. Prayers and best wishes for your daughter and your family.

My heart goes out to you and yours. I read the MH page, that Doc, he or she, was on the ball!

I am thinking of you all, and wishing you and Sierra.

My thoughts are with you.

Horses are so integral in our lives, there is no line between "horse" subjects and "other" to me. Everything I do is horsecentric, whether the horses are physically there or not. I'm sure it's the same with you.

I know many of my best rides tend to be "therapy rides". When the going gets tough, I hit the saddle!

I agree with Kate. This is your blog. You shouldn't have to worry about offending anyone by posting subjects other than horses or have to create a new page and remember to post an update icon every time you have some news to share about your beautiful Sierra.
(unless you want to)

It's your blog, do whatever pleases you and makes your life easier. We'll still be here to read. Plus, as a fellow Mama, I would like to know how your daughter is doing so I can give you some support if you need it.

You're also reminding me to be thankful this Thanksgiving and remember what is truly important in this life: Our Families and those that we love.

Prayers and positive energy being sent to you and Sierra,
~Lisa

Prayers and hugs are going your way. Oh you poor little girl, and I mean both you and your daughter. I work in the medical field and I know who's the best and who isn't and I may be able to recommend the best pediatric cardiolist in your area. Please email at (yikes I'm letting you know who I really am, but I think this is important enough to warrent a public outing ok here we go it's maryadams30@yahoo.com.) Let me know where you live and what's the problem. I'll talk to the pediatric cardiologist at the University of Maryland Medical Center and give you their advice. Hold on their girlfriend prayers and actions are on the way.

Horses are your life. Your family is your life. Why should one happen apart from the other when you are the common denominator writing it to life? All of it "breathes" into your blog, doesn't it, and I, for one, think it should. Best of luck.

I will have to go a few posts down to see what you are referring to... but I think here is fine too. I'm glancing at surgery and heart ... oh my.

How sweet and precious she is! I would like you to give a head's up at least. It is very easy to go to the link at the top of the page. I love your words and photos. My prayers will be sent you way.

Cute little picture of your daughter. Keeping positive thoughts for you and family.

I separated all of blogs just because they are so different. But do what you feel is easiest, because we will find you no matter where you are.

Sorry to hear of your daughter's heart condition. Sending positive thoughts and prayers for your daughter, you, your family, and the doctors.

You have my prayers! I'm glad they found the problem, but so sorry you're all having to go through this again. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

I don't see anything wrong at all with posting things that are not horse related on your blog. I definitely want to read the updates.

Oh sweetie,
I've come to see you and to thank you for you kind comment on my saddle delima...which is trivial compared to real life issues as I am discovering with your daughter.

I will definetly keep my prayers up for her and you, and all the people along the way the Lord sets in motion, to assist you.
