A picture from Audrey

Audrey, the trainer who helped me find this horse (here's her facebook page), was out visiting the ranch where my soon to be horse lives and sent me a picture.

Am I shallow to be smitten by his good looks?

I don't know about you, but I think this horse is wanting to know when he's moving.

So far the plan is next weekend.

I'm almost nervous to bring him home. Like he won't like my parents or something. LOL

If he doesn't like your parents - that's their problem! He's one cutie - nothing wrong with having a pretty face.

What a *sweetheart* of a face! I would be smitten too and I personally can't wait to hear all about your adventures together.

It's like the second date...which is usually more nerve-racking and exciting than the first.

He really is a handsome boy, though.

We don't have a name yet... I'm leaning toward Cielo which means heaven in Spanish. Or Sundance. Or Lindo (which is cutie in Spanish).

Or Sancho (which is Spanish for the man you with whom you have an affair).

That's what my husband calls my horses. My Sancho. LOL

I can't wait to get him here. I already ordered his bit. . .

OHHH!! I LOVE Sancho! LOL What a great name for a woman's gelding! Like a horse I know named Cowboy...his owner likes to say to her husband...I'm gonna go ride my cowboy!" He doesnt it's all that funny:)

Suggestion...let his name be the one that speaks to your heart and is what you want him to be in your life. Each of our horses pretty much named themselves and I love calling Mio and knowing that I am saying 'Mine!' Each time he wraps his neck around me in a hug, I think he is saying the same thing.

I like Sancho...or guapo...or sancho guapo. I think he will definitely be the other male in your life, so Sancho is a very good fit.

Although you ARE going to get a lot of looks when you are talking about him from people who know what that name means!

I wonder, does your hubby get he name "Gordo", the Spanish nickname for husbands? It doesn't seem right that the Spansh nicknames for the husband are "viejo" or "gordo", while the affair male gets a neat name like "Sancho".

I hope your Sancho rides as good as he looks.
