March for Mustangs

They are having a March for Mustangs on the 25th in DC. You can read more here at the Cloud Foundation. Remember, these horses are ours (we bought and paid for them through taxes and ongoing support of the BLM), only we can demand they be properly managed.

That is great. I hope the march makes the national news. I'll be looking for it.

Thanks for posting this, Breathe. We have wild horses that have lived in remote Alberta and British Columbia for a couple of centuries. Unfortunately there are those that believe these animals can be shot for sport and numbers have dropped dramatically over the last 10 years. Your post has reminded me to become a member of the Wild Horses of Alberta Society, a group dedicated to have have legislation changed to protect these beautiful creatures. Thank you.

We have our Brumbies, which are the descendents of horses brought to Australia by the British settlers 250yrs ago. They are smart and have very tough hooves. Every year Brumbies are culled (shot) to reduce the damage they cause in our alpine national parks. It is a huge shame - Id love to see them re-homed humanely.
