Cookies in the Trailer

Just a quick update. We had a cookie dinner in the trailer, Smokey and I. Now he'll get in the trailer, but I'd say it was definitely a smell thing. He is snuffing the floor all over the trailer and raises his head in alarm.

But we've overcome it with cookies.

I'm never washing the inside of that thing again. Sweeping, rinsing, yes. Deep clean - never again.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get him in there long enough to funk it up. :) Thanks for the reassurance!

Maybe you could put down some shavings and add a couple piles of his poop.

Now, how interesting is that? Good for you for being tuned in and figuring it out. :) I'm wondering (half-jokingly) if it's a boy thing.

Glad Smokey's feeling better about the trailer now :)

Can I just say that the picture of you and your daughter, on your horses and in the lake, says it all?? I am so happy that you have found the one. : )

PS-Never deep clean the inside of your trailer or it becomes foreign and alien all at once...lol!!!

Breathe, That is interesting about the trailering. Maybe horses do have certain smells they like to have around them, and the deep cleaning erased those good smells. But thank goodness for cookies, always! :)

Yay for cookies!

If I were you, I'd not wait for him to fun it up. Just go out to the paddock and scoop up some poo and carry it back to your horse trailer. hehe!

ps You asked about WNCR doing short term boarding....yes they do. It's only $10 a day per horse. When you call ask for Colleen, Christine, Anna or Loeta...and tell 'em Lisa sent ya :)

I'd invite you to stay here. I have a separate horse-safe paddock, but I'm not sure how your horses would do with llamas and goats.

Perfect! Familar smells and good ones, like cookies, can soothe any(trailer) fears!

My sissy tried to load her hoirse in a trailer that had llamas in it the week before..it was a no-go! Pantz is deathly afraind of those critters...obviously in person and in smelly aftermath!
