Really? Really?

First the truck went out.

Now the AC in my car is out, and it's going to cost twice as much as the truck. It'll be 110 on Tuesday. Which is not particularly survivable.

So I guess we are getting the truck fixed.

But the universe is now on notice:

CUT. IT. OUT.

Thank you. You may return to your activities.

(in other headlines: Had one nice day with the horses. Smokey was fab. Lily has kicked off a shoe. Mireya is nine as of Friday. The tarantula gave me a heart attack. Sierra is singing up a storm. Trainer wants me to do an endurance race in October. I'm thinking she's crazy.)

Boo on the broken truck, broken car A/C, 100+ temps, the creepy tarantula, and a lost shoe. But hooray for horse time, Mireya's 9th birthday, a singing Sierra....and maybe an endurance ride in 3 months. Better start building up those miles, eh? :D

Yeah, you probably should get your AC fixed. Mine's been broke since I got the car in January but it's not so hot here. I just use the windows.

Hey, you wanted a job for Smokey. Where's it at?

Well it seems like the universe sent you a mixed bag. Great day with horse vs. broken air conditioning. Jeesh, that hardly seems fair not to let you have a great day without some stinker fouling things up.

It always seems to come in waves...at the least convenient time.

Glad there are still some bright spots. ;-)

110? I thought you Arizona folks were used to that.

Just kidding. That's hot no matter where you're from. Get the truck fixed quickly.

Have faith in your trainer. Professionals look really bad when they have students in competitions who are unprepared. They pretty much don't want you to be seen failing, so it she wants you to go, you must really be up to it!

I had to laugh--I am having a summer like yours as well, only with less Mother on the Mother Nature end of things to deal with.

I think October sounds like a great idea. Usually perfect riding weather where we are.

Oh, boy. AC is a must. Glad that Mireya and Sierra are bringing a smile to your face. Endurance race?? Wow, go for it!!!

I can't live without my AC. Hope you get it fixed soon and the universe gives you a break.

Go for the ride in October. I'm sure your trainer knows whether you're ready or not and you still have two whole months to get ready.

It's no fun when the universe gets ornery and breaks things. A/C is a must in my book. But glad you had some nice horse time. That shows the universe whose boss.
