A Quote Worth Remembering

Found this reference on Equine ER:

Louise Firouz helped save the Caspian from extinction. Before she died at 74 in 2008 she told Reuters that she had ignored doctors orders to stop riding horses. "I'm not too old to ride," she said. "I'm too old to fall off."

Amen, Louise. Amen.

Yep, I agree. My favorite story is one I read in American Cowboy magazine about 8 years ago. There was a small article that said, "Mrs. So and So of Such and Such, Texas died from a fall off her horse. She was 103 years old."

Not bad.

I couldn't agree more - and I'm not even 60 yet!

Great quote. And it led me to look up the Caspian breed and it's resurrection. Very interesting reading!

Love that quote!!! So very, very, true!!! Also, am amazed at the story of Cibolo and the hay bag. It is really something how they come thru some of the situations they do!So glad it was not a disaster....
