Contest Time!

I'm tired of complaining about the weather, (and people are tired of hearing it too) so I think it's time for a contest here at Horsecentric.

I'm inspired by a sweet pay it forward I just recievedfrom Lisa at Laughing Orca (thanks Lisa!!). I'll be posting pictures of it soon!

I've mentioned once or twice that I'm a writer, and a few years ago I co-authored a book on Texas Trivia:

Yes, a bathroom book. I like to tell people I'm with you during those special moments...

It's funny, it's weird, it's really all about Texas. It was a blast to write, too. I've written for a few other trivia books, and am working on a NEW YORK book right now.

I've been there twice. Thank goodness for the Internet.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to offer up an autographed copy along with an additional surprise (to be identified later).

To enter the contest, all you have to do is leave a comment. That's it. Say anything you want (well, unless you're going to say something in chinese, cuz I'm thinking those comments are not from people reading this blog) and you're in!

You've got till Friday. Then Saturday, Roxie will draw a winner.

She wanted me to mention that she is accepting bribes.

Do I still get to enter, being outside of the US?

How exciting! I don't sit long enough to read in the bathroom but I do love to read those kind of books.

Will you eventually do a book for every state? What a novel idea! Get it, novel, ;)

Those sound like an excellent idea, I live in the Special Areas in ALberta and a few year ago, I got a book about it and there was a tonne of stuff in it I never knew or even thought of before.

Very cool that you got to author a book! Guess we don't want to play against you on a trivia team, right?

Sounds like something everybody needs!

I'm in to win! Since Mike and I were both born in Texas and lived the majority of our lives there, I'm sure we will get a huge laugh if I win. If I don't, where can I buy it? Carmon

Pick me! Pick me! Being a Canadian, I would love to learn about Texas! :-)

That is a great idea. I think Jack needs to have a contest too, so much fun to give away presents

I love contests! Very fun idea. How many books have you written?

Yay, a contest! I really want to visit Texas one year for the big stock show in Dallas/ Ft. Worth. And the King Ranch, that's where Beamer's sire was born.

Serious, I am not leaving a comment just to enter the contest I just stopped by your blog to say and catch up on what you've been up to. So "Hi!" - and ya....it doesn't hurt to enter the contest.

Great minds think alike. I was tired of complaining about the weather too, so I was thinking about having a contents. A bathroom book? Awesome! We got through those pretty fast. Puzzles and trivia are our favorites.

That's "contest" not "contents". My son was talking to me while I was writing my comment. I need two brains. Now you know why I leave such short comments on sites. I can't get two minutes without someone talking to me.

Wait... I left two comments. Does this mean I entered twice?

Veronica - Yes, I'll ship anywhere. Only fair, right?

FV - I was contracted for this book only, but I've since been tapped for a few here and there.

Crystal - The publisher is actually Canadian! Isn't that cool?

Michelle - I'm really not that good at trivia - but I'm a pretty decent poker player. :)

Susan - I agree!

Carmon - If anyone wants a copy afterwards, I'll post a few to buy. :)

Wolfie - It's all up to Roxie! I'm terrible at choosing!

Jack - I think it's a great idea. I hope he does!

Sprinkler - My work has been in 3 books so far. I also have an unpublished novel with an agent.

Shirley - It would be great to visit Beamer's home ranch!

Stephanie - you're in!

NM - I so identify. I usually blog after everyone's asleep. What will I do when they don't have a 9 pm bedtime? (no, you're in once. LOL)

Roxie gets to choose, huh? Fun that you got to do these books - what else is in the works?

Hey, I need that! I live in Texas!

Glad ya received it! I've just been so busy. Doing normal barn chores and working outside in the snow exhausts me. My twinlings turn 13 on Sunday, so I've been preparing for that...and they turn 13! When did THAT happen? I'm going to have TEENagers. gah!

Bathroom humor. Love it! lol!
